Transparency International - Kyrgyzstan is a chapter of international organization Transparency International (has chapters in 90 countries of the world), which purpose is to fight against corruption by means of public awareness; development and wide application of international experience of fight against corruption, promotion of effective public policy and good governance in order to prevent corruption and strengthen democracy in the country, maintenance of transparency in work of the government and state bodies.
Transparency International - Kyrgyzstan is established in 2003.
Our purpose
To encourage participation of the population in fight against corruption with the help of wide informing on corruption forms, harm which it causes as well as methods on fight against it.
Values:
Main values of the Transparency International Kyrgyzstan are transparency, integrity, justice, accountability, courage, and democracy.
Our tasks:
- Anticorruption education of the population, in particular young people;
- increase of public awareness on the significance and importance to fight against corruption in Kyrgyzstan;
- assistance to development of civil society’s structures by means of education, upbringing and vocational training;
- organization of practice and theory studying on fight against corruption and participation of civil society’s structures in it in Kyrgyzstan and other countries;
- organization and carrying out political scientific, economic, legal and humanitarian researches;
- organization of researches on development and interaction with authority of organizations on civil initiative;
- assistance to citizens and organizations in realization of their constitutional rights and freedom;
- distribution of legal knowledge, conducting lectures, seminars, conferences, symposiums, and trainings.

- studying of foreign experience on fight against corruption;
- development of programmes aimed to contradict certain types of corruption;
- promotion of anticorruption bills.
Activity of our organization
Specificity of activity
Specificity of activity is a primary orientation to the international experience of corruption reduction, development and learning of its technologies, resources, and also inclusion of civil society’s structures in the Kyrgyz Republic and other countries into international dialogue on fight against corruption.
Forms of activity:
- Expertise of acting and secondary legislation as well as their drafts by inquiries of the interested organizations or stakeholders;
- Attraction of independent experts, scientists, researchers, politicians, public figures with a view of draft laws and other statutory acts development;
- Forecasting of formation and development of political process, public political organizations and movements, political and governmental structures;
- Conducting conferences, seminars and round tables;
- Gathering, processing and distribution of political and legal information, preparation and release informational bulletins, newsletters, publications on problems of foundation’s activity.
- Development of social partnership between governmental structures and NGO through joint actions on fight against corruption. Development of general approaches on fight against corruption.
